For their annual Christmas Charity Project, Italian fashion houseMarnihave teamed up with Colombian craftsmen to create ’Happy Birds’.Made from a combination of metal and wood, the limited edition birds are available to purchase during the holiday season.Proceeds from the sale of the birds go towards the Vimala Association, which supports children in refugee camps in India.There are five different designs, which represent five different women: Carol Rama is depicted with a whimsical sunburst crown, Frida Kahlo is a cormorant with a large beak, the moorhen is Georgia O’Keeffe, the little bird looking to the sky is Alice Neel (pictured) and the queen is Louise Bourgeois, Marni said in a statment.Meet ’Louise’.Carol on location.Alice and Carol.Frida on location.The whole collection.The ’Happy Birds’ will be available from early December all throughout the Christmas period from Marni stores.
