鲁汶大学博物馆，比利时 / André Jacqmain

由André Jacqmain设计的位于比利时新鲁汶的科学图书馆近期被改造为了一间博物馆。这座标志性的建筑建于1969年至1975年间，是鲁汶大学迁往瓦龙之后建造的第一批建筑之一。这座建筑以其自身的象征性和纪念意义彰显了大学在教学与传授知识方面的地位。室内陈设由Jules Wabbes设计，一些原本用于图书馆的家具在新的博物馆中得到了保留。

PR Library of Sciences by André Jacqmain André Jacqmain’s emblematic Library of Science in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, is recently transformed in a museum. Designed and built between 1969 and 1975, it is one of the first buildings to have been erected after the University’s move to Walloon territory. Symbolically and through its monumental character, it was intended to embody the University and proclaim its  intellectual role. The furnishings designed by Jules Wabbes and intended for what was originally a library, will be partially reused in the museum.

博物馆中展示了来自不同文明的艺术品和物件以及科学发明，展现出人类作为创作者和发明者的视角，延续了人类探索生命意义、改善环居住环境、记录存在痕迹以及建立文明的传统。

The new museum’s artworks, objects from different civilisations and scientific inventions present a view of humans as creators and inventors, drawing on tradition to seek meaning in their lives, improve their circumstances, mark their passing and in this way construct culture.

鲁汶大学博物馆以一种诗意的方式对这些博大精深的文明成果进行了维护和展示，通过提问、想象和回忆等人性化的手法来阐明事实。在既有藏品的基础上，博物馆还新增了以人类学和科学为主题的物品，使参观者能够更加深入地理解来自不同文化的收藏。

The Musée L will preserve and exhibit these signs of humanity and ingenuity in a poetical spirit. It will invite you to partake of powerful and subtle experiences, taking a humanising approach that illuminates by asking questions, using the imagination and remembering. It will allow you, as a contemporary human, to be present in humanity’s past. The existing collections will be used and enriched with anthropological and scientific collections for an across-the-board interpretation and hence understanding of objects from all cultures.

博物馆肩负着双重性的使命：让鲁汶大学内的展品充分地发挥出展览价值和科教价值。它不仅仅是一座服务于社会的博物馆，同时也是一座教学与研究中心。

Musée L, the University Museum of Louvain, has a twofold mission : to take full advantage of the University’s collections firstly in presentational terms and secondly for scientific purposes. It is therefore both a museum that serves society and a teaching and research centre.
