Located directly above Sydney’s iconic Luna Park, Milsons Point by Studio George harnesses the qualities of its pristine harbourside location and elevates the unique ambience that emanates from the foreshore beyond. The eloquent response is a sophisticated and refined design that effortlessly complements its surroundings.

客户带着明确的要求来到Studio George，即充分利用海港的美景，最大限度地扩大整个住宅的容积以及家庭娱乐的公共区域。为了实现这一目标，设计采用了装饰艺术风格，以功能性和现代室内装饰为基础，同时兼具柔和、优雅的美感。

The clients came to Studio George with a clear brief–to take advantage of the harbour views and to maximise the volume of the overall home as well as the communal areas where the family comes together to entertain. To achieve this, the design followed an art deco approach, grounded by a functional and contemporary interior alongside a soft, elegant aesthetic.

Studio George对现有住宅的建筑风格和原始设计十分敏感，把握得恰到好处。该住宅最初是一座宏伟的装饰艺术风格的高层建筑；然而，其内部却十分阴暗，几乎没有保留原有的装置、设备或木工细节。因此，为了充分发挥住宅的潜力，对其进行了重大改造。

Studio George was sensitive to the architecture and original design of the existing home to a perfectly measured degree. The home was originally built as a grand art deco high rise; however, the interior was gloomy and retained few original fixtures and fittings or carpentry details. As such, significant reconfigurations took place to restore the home to achieve its full potential.

室内陈设和材料色调也受到装饰艺术的明显影响。Studio George设计了精美细致的室内装饰，采用了丰富的饰面和家具，重新优雅地唤醒了室内空间。象牙色、亚麻色和陶瓷色是整个室内的主色调，辅以 Artedomus的Calacatta Vagli，这是一种精致的天然大理石，带有浓重的青铜暖色调。

Interior furnishings and the material palette were also directed by a tangible art deco influence. Studio George developed a beautifully detailed interior with a rich palette of finishes and furnishings that gracefully re-awaken the interior. Ivory, linen and ceramic dominate throughout, complemented by Calacatta Vagli from Artedomus – a sophisticated natural marble stone with heavily brecciated warm bronze tones.

住宅的内部结构大部分被拆除，以创造一个更加开放和连通的平面布局。厨房得到扩建，新浴室得以安装，天花板也得到加高。总之，住宅内的空间被重新定义，使人们能够在宽敞的区域聚集，并在房间之间自由移动。

The home’s internal structure was mostly demolished to create a more open and connected floor plan. The kitchen was expanded, new bathrooms installed and ceilings heightened. Overall, the volume of space within the home was redefined in a way that allows people to gather in a spacious zone and move freely between rooms.
