这座小建筑位于法国西海岸的费尔曼维尔镇，更具体地说，位于科廷丁地区。9世纪，维京人的浪潮在这里登陆。2017年，建筑公司“怪人建筑”(Freaks Architecture)对这座建筑进行了整修。这座建筑以前是一座混凝土捕鱼棚，建于50年代，建在海滩上的一块岩石上，面向大海。它的尺寸和比例与亨利·大卫·梭罗(HenryDavidThoreau)在瓦尔登的小木屋完全一样-每4米3米，总共12平方米，这使得它成为一个很小的空间来容纳一个家。

尽管如此，尽管其规模有限，但由于法国海岸这一地区建筑物的现行规定，这是无法改变的，但建筑公司最大限度地利用了现有的每一寸空间。其结果是一个完全极简主义的空间，那里的家具仅仅是所需的东西，天花板的高度被用来创造一个额外的水平-一个阁楼-来支撑卧室。安装了巨大的玻璃窗，使自然光渗透进来，使空间更加明亮，同时也允许从内部欣赏外部的景色。
