Marc has a strong knowledge base, not only in fashion but also in art and design.

This Greenwich Villag apartment is a masterful blend of color, pattern, texture, and time-honored furnishings, striking a delicate balance between the opulence of an old-school New York residence and contemporary decor. It's really just a white box or a blank canvas waiting to be filled by Kenyon, his goal was to give it a sense of depth and history, to construct a design that reflected his feelings as a designer and how Jonathon and what he wanted lifestyle narrative.

The designer bathed the living room in the colors of Farrow & Ball's Dead Salmon and Set Plaster, creating a warm, inviting backdrop for an eclectic mix of furniture, including an 18th-century tapestry unexpectedly placed over a beautifully cut sofa above. The time-travelling assemblage also includes club chairs in classic Jazz Age fabrics, parchment-covered cocktail tables, Oushak rugs, and large custom oak cabinets inspired by the work of Josef Hoffmann. The dining room is wrapped in a cocoon-like paneling, adorned with a taupe corduroy, discreetly framed by a bold chandelier, and a custom rectangular marble table that matches the small proportions of the room.

Designers believe that a home should feel considered, but not overly certain. No matter how precisely you count the mix of old, new and custom, this home has to feel warm and relaxing. He likes to use color in subtle ways, looking for complex shades that change subtly depending on the time of day and the surrounding environment.
