Softness, detail and warmth mark the new image of Bulthaup Sant Cugat to open a new chapter in the history of the German kitchen brand. The new interior, which is more private and personal, is the result of a collaboration between designer Francesc Rife and showroom owner and designer Caterina Masferrer. "The idea behind the new design was to evoke family warmth and push the project towards a more family concept," they explained. More like a home than a company, more intimate than revealing, more intimate than impersonal. To achieve this, we chose serene materials and warm tones that are rooted in bulthaup's identity. Different shades of natural or stained oak balance the concrete floor, while the neutrality of the walls and concrete ceiling shapes most of the space.

The kitchen is neat and orderly, spread out over two floors. The first, combining a two-storey area with a lower one, serves as a studio where visitors can interact with the company's materials and finishes. In a purely technical sense, it also provides the opportunity to experience bulthaup furniture and gain insight into its structure and configuration. On the upper level, however, a more private domestic scene is represented through the selection of timeless and iconic furniture and objects. For a tighter spatial experience, the final environment is visually open to both the ground floor and the exterior, through an oak framed glass shell. Work is also distributed throughout the project, facilitating cross-circulation between employees and customers.
