Our design proposal intends to use the design in many way such as architecture, interior design, landscape design and structural engineering to bring Barilla ‘s Brand meet people. 

Branding 

The attribute of spaghetti such as Curve, Twist, lengthy, Smooth as silk become the initial design ideas. 

The welcoming-feel and friendly users design are to be expressed in design by many keywords such as ....Building in the park, Curve and Smooth as silk in architecture. 

Architecture & Interior design 

“The building in the park”is the main idea.The building is enveloped by transparency wall to seamlessly connect to the park , super lawn and super pond (reservoir) 

The spaghetti roof is functionally indirect natural-light-aluminum shade&grill. 

Super lawn, Super pond and The Shop Pavilion. 

Super lawn is enclosed space surrounded by the building. To create outdoor activities for officers, Staffs and Visitors. 

Super pond is functionally reservoir. But it also becomes the main beautiful character of the Barilla park. People, staffs, visitors are able to enjoy natural atmosphere like being in the central park. 

The shop pavilion is functionally coffee shop, restaurant and souvenirs shop. It is also the tourist information as well. The Sculpture form attracts people to climb up to the top view, take photo and enjoy the time with this park’s features. This Sculpture will become the new landmark for the town and the company. 

Functional design

Researching building ( Barilla’s new building ) 

This is 2 storey building but the 2nd (upper)floor is designed to seamlessly connect with the super lawn. And the lower floor also connects to the super pond level as well. Therefore.

The users will feel like no different levels. 

On the ground floor is designed in the concept of openable plan. It is very flexible to manage and re-adjust for rooms and office space in the future. 

On the upper floor, It is company’s gallery for visitors. 

The shop pavilion is functionally coffee shop, restaurant, souvenirs shop and the tourist information. It is the symbolic sculptural building for the park. Local people can come by and enjoy the outdoor activities around this area. Or coming by to buy the product as well.
