Library - Tigre

The project consists of designing a library that integrates a variety of programs, including an exhibition hall, study spaces, a micro-cinema, a café, among others. Located in the town of Tigre, Buenos Aires, on the corner of Av. Victorica and Vito Dumas streets, next to the National Naval Museum and overlooking the Luján River, the library stands as a key point in the Victoria Promenade of Tigre.

The design focuses on highlighting the importance of the corner with the dock and the river, revitalizing and promoting public space for harmonious coexistence between the neighborhood, the library, and the natural surroundings of Tigre. The aim is to make the most of the panoramic views and efficiently distribute the programs for appropriate interaction.

Integration with the neighborhood is achieved through the creation of a plaza that serves as a meeting point and connection between people. The main hall embraces this plaza, emphasizing its monumentality and allowing it to be admired from all angles. Access to the building, along with programs such as the exhibition hall, the micro-cinema, and the secretariat, are located in a smaller wing compared to the main hall, thus emphasizing its importance.

Special importance is given to the relationship between the main hall and the plaza, as a space for meeting and admiration, as well as the connection of these spaces with the corner and the river, all surrounded by the characteristic greenery of Tigre.
