Rural residential complex at Eastern Ghotah

Due to its special characteristics, rural residences have always been fulfilling the needs of its inhabitants by using various methods such as environment friendly materials that blends perfectly with the surroundings. Having said that, unfortunately, this local architecture is facing the danger of extinction in Syria .and getting replaced by random concrete blocks with no soul nor meaning. which led to detracting the architectural atmosphere, and leaving the locals obliged to live a new lifestyle that doesn't get their needs done in any type of way. The importance of this project stems from the essential need of mitigating the problems by getting back the relationship between peasants and their agriculture lands.in which fulfill the rules of rural development in an effective way that respects the local's environment and distinctive characteristics. The rural complex takes place in EASTERN GHOTAH with approximately 15000 square meters. and a %25 to %30 land use factor. which contains 3 residential block models in addition to public facilities like seasonal market, communicational center, Mini mall, agricultural center with a parking for nearly 10 agricultural machineries.
