The object is a rare typological example of a residential wooden manor house in the city of Yaroslavl at the end of the XIX century. Its features are a large corner balcony (mezzanine) at the level of the 3rd floor, cantilevered removal of the walls of the mezzanine relative to the planes of the facades of the building, a hipped roof. The object forms a corner of this city block.
The house has elements of architectural decor of a mechanistic nature that are not repeated anywhere in the city. Because of this, the house is popularly called "A House with a steering wheel". The design of facades in the eclectic style with elements of Art Nouveau.

During the Soviet period, the object underwent many changes.
The reconstruction project involves the restoration of the pre-revolutionary appearance of the building. Design solutions are based on a single archival photograph of the object, examination materials and various amateur materials. Analogs of the wooden architecture of nearby towns and villages were also used.
The object is a rare typologically preserved example of a residential wooden manor house in the city of Yaroslavl. The building has preserved authentic features. The restoration of the building is very important, it will serve as an example of Yaroslavl wooden architecture.
