When Jerusalem meets Tel Aviv, envisioned by Yaron Eldad and nestled in Herzliya, is a penthouse apartment that embodies a modern-industrial design. Completed in 2023, this home celebrates a blend of Jerusalemite artistry with the crisp, open-air style of a New York loft, offering breathtaking views of Tel Aviv’s skyline. It’s a space that honors its heritage while embracing the dynamic needs of a contemporary family.
About When Jerusalem Meets Tel Aviv
A Modern-Industrial Oasis in the Heart of Herzliya
After decades of living in a private home near Jerusalem, a couple decided to make a significant change and move into a luxurious new residential project in Herzliya, close to their four children and grandchildren. They approached architect Yaron Eldad, known for his modern-industrial style, who skillfully created a personalized living environment incorporating authentic artistic elements the couple carried over from their previous home.
A Unique Blend of Style and Function
The homeowner, a unique woman with her own distinctive style, wanted a space that bridged Jerusalemite style with minimalist industrial design. The architect explains, “The apartment has an unobstructed view towards the urban landscape and Tel Aviv’s towers. We were able to create a loft apartment with a particularly large communal space comprising a living room, dining area, and a huge kitchen, alongside a dynamic modular private area dedicated to the couple and their grandchildren.”
A Space for Every Occasion
The penthouse apartment features a master bedroom with sliding walls that open up to a fun and play area for the grandchildren. The private wing also includes a dedicated bedroom for the grandchildren, creating a comfortable and intimate space for the family to spend quality time together.
Industrial Elegance in the Kitchen
The kitchen is exceptionally large, perfect for intensive work and hosting many participants. The tall cabinet fronts, housing electrical appliances and ample storage spaces, are covered in a material resembling stainless steel, just like the island, this time topped with a weathered stainless-steel plate. A raw black wooden surface is installed as a dining counter, adding a touch of industrial elegance to the space.
