Our proposition for the SMAC of Nilvange settles in the landscape by exploiting the constraints and the assets of this one.
The accesses are revised in correspondence with the visual main roads which cross the site. A footbridge-belvedere comes to the public through the public garden, since the street. The building in itself is covered with an insulating skin and breaks sun, among which the color and the shape make reference to the universe of the music. A patent of golden Stainless steel gives a new appearance to the building, in reference to the quite close metallurgy industry as much as to the musical instruments.
The patent deforms to form a canopy and welcome the public. Its material is drilled to filter the sun and gives a thermal and solar comfort adequate to classrooms. Its shine reflects the landscape of the big surrounding trees. Since the belvedere, the public skips under the skin to reach the reception hall which the material is in continuity with the ground of the footbridge. The vast, bright hall is equipped with a generous bank of reception the color of which announces the big room. It is crossed by an air staircase which gives access to classrooms and to the concert hall foyer. The foyer adjoining the big room is centred on sights towards the valley. He is generous and can serve a maximum of functions.
