Contemporaneity and functionality — both harmonically matching the urban landscape — were the guidelines for the project of the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) stations.

The shape of the “modules” aims to blend itself with the dynamic landscape. The notion of “just one bus more” was the way elected in order to avoid the multiplication of visual stimuli of the urban scenery.

The modular stations, conceived in metallic structures, arrive at the construction site already pre-built, which allows for swiftness in deployment and quality of the final product. The finishing in ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) is yet another component that brings efficiency to the project, and it can be replicated in other parts of the city and even in other regions of the country.

Access control to the station is made possible by the use of turnstiles, and is also designed having in mind disabled users. The BRT system also offers comfort, considering it makes use of glass and perforated plates to enclose the sides and thus allows for better visibility, lighting and natural ventilation.

The equipment also covers the needs for sustainability and accessibility, currently so dear to the population. Economical both in deployment and maintenance, it has a system that allows for better use of internal ventilation and lighting, while also being fully accessible, welcoming cyclists and promoting integration with other urban means of transportation.
