Transforming the Gramercy Park Residence

The owners of the Gramercy Park Residence in Manhattan approached us with a vision to transform their apartment into a spacious and flexible entertainment area. They sought to break free from the confines of small rooms and cramped spaces while preserving ample wall space for displaying their impressive collection of large-format photographs and paintings in natural light.

Innovative Design Solutions

Our solution was to merge the former master bedroom suite and living room, creating an open space filled with northern light. This redesign allowed us to expand the kitchen, add a luxurious second bathroom, and provide a comfortable area for the family to unwind and host guests.

A Cohesive Aesthetic Palette

We carefully curated a palette of materials that complemented the owners’ art collection, featuring black, white, and shades of wood, gold, and yellow throughout the residence. This harmonious design approach not only enhanced the visual appeal of the space, but also created a cohesive atmosphere for a truly unforgettable living experience.
