Our clients bought two adjoining apartments and decided to combine them into one - bright, comfortable, stylish and spacious. At the time of meeting us (the designers :) , the family already had some idea about the apartment's layout, so our main task was primarily to develop a conceptual and stylistic image of the interior and further implementation of the concept. Aesthetically, customers were inclined to the classic elements. But at the same time they strived for a creative (sorry for the cliché) approach in the classics, to make the apartment look relevant and modern.
Color-wise, we leaned towards a restrained cold palette with a predominance of light gray background color: this choice made the space more modern and solemn, and at the same time created a balance with warm brass elements and a noble shade of oak flooring. The floor as a whole in this project needs special attention. Here, natural French herringbone parquet is framed with a plank board and brass profiles and locally diluted with "carpets" of porcelain tile - not an easy task for builders, but they did a great job though, so that the floor now is a zest of the room.
We paid special attention to light, architectural and decorative: there is a variety of light fixtures and lighting scenarios, while convenient placement of switches and arrangement of light groups create real comfort for the users.
Both bathroom and guest bathroom are also quite worth mentioning. We filled the relatively small area of those rooms with storage space as much as possible, at the same time trying to implement some interesting elements. For example, you can see that the walls of the bathroom are devoid of seams, which are usually characteristic of wet rooms lined with tiles. This effect was achieved due to the local coating of decorative plaster. This moisture-resistant coating allowed us to create a uniform monolithic background, in which we built in profiles for the LED strip, to provide romantic lighting for relaxation after a hardworking day. The rest of the walls are lined with porcelain, which is 2.7 m long: professional mountain climbers had to bring that tile into apartment through window, so that now the walls look as if made of a monolithic piece of stone.
