In a recently completed four-bedroom Bhopal residence, We played with tones of beige and white —which served to create a clean, straight, minimalistic concept.

The entrance passage is small and narrow. A shoe drawer at the base of the entrance extends to a taller side table, meant to serve as a holding place for inverter, keys, and other accessories. Taupe walls and beige floors set the tone for a clean, minimalist aesthetic throughout the apartment. The designer center table, wall unit, and family photo collage on the exposed white brick wall form the main feature of the Living Room. Customized Teakwood Dining Table gives a subtle visual break from the clean whiteness of the main area.

West facing balcony acts as an extension of the living room. Sliding shutters allow diffusing the sunlight as required, without completely blocking the view. The outdoor furniture pieces are all locally sourced.

The master bedroom is completely treated with ebony wood arranged in a pattern throughout the space. A headboard with linear patterning breaks through the white and wood. The daughter’s bedroom has a splash of color with geometric construction. The use of writable paint near the study table gives the comfort of studying and adds some fun factor.

A formalization of the design and the commissioning detail as simple as possible to achieve the objective with a minimum budget. Furniture is made to serve their very purposes, and not to put pressure on the space.
