Khodynskoye Pole Park
Year of implementation: 2019
Khodynskoye Pole is one of the most modern and striking parks in Moscow. Its construction lasted five years, and the opening was coincided with the celebration of City Day in 2018.
Total area: 25.5 hectares
Khodynsky meadow, where the park is located, appears in sources since the XIV century. At different times, military clashes of Russian troops with enemies, coronations of emperors and other important historical events took place here. In 1910, an airfield appeared on the Khodynsky field, which was subsequently closed in 2003.
The initial project for the construction of the Khodynsky field belonged to the Italian bureau LAND Milano, but, despite the originality of the project, MosGorPark organization has found the implementation too difficult and expensive. A new tender for the design of the park was won by the Russian architectural bureau Kleinewelt Architekten, which developed some of the ideas of the Italians.
The construction of the park began in 2013. After 5 years, a modern and picturesque park with a two-level pond, children's and sports grounds, open-air training equipment, tennis, basketball playgrounds and skateboard tracks appeared here. In August 2018, a dry fountain began to work in the park. During the day, 245 jets change height and create water effects, in the evening the fountain is illuminated and accompanied by music. Today, the Khodynskoye Pole park has become one of the "visiting cards" of the Russian capital.
Dozens of products from the Punto Design catalogues also fit successfully into the visual picture of the park. Benches of various configurations, litter bins and other products provide a comfortable rest for residents and guests of the capital.
