The Casa do Monte project emerged from a pre-existing building, previously intended for permanent housing. The desire to preserve a work of traditional character and respect the local language meant that the volumetry, location and coating materials did not change. Successively, the previous construction was restored and the interior spaces were reorganised. It stands out in the landscape through its granite and slate facade, thus conserving the features of the typical architecture of the region.
