Summer shelter is a shading concept for preserving people against the exceed amount of solar radiation and hot temperature.

I achieved my degree in architecture in North Cyprus with Mediterranean climate that is warm and dry with hot temperature and sunny days particularly during summer. It enjoys high solar radiation throughout the year which has a great potential of utilizing the renewable energy resources.While solar radiation is so productive for the island but it is also disturbing for people because of the sun glare and overheat temperature. Designing the shelter can be helpful for people due to escape from excessive solar radiation enjoy from shading spaces in urban area.So,summer shelter is a wooden structure with opening on the roof due to posite the green roof and solar panels.It includes cooling system and sitting area for poeple in public spaces of the city.Solar panels generate energy of cooling system,internet and lighting. Indeed, people enjoy sunny days in outdoor spaces even in hot temperature.
