On 31 March 2022 in Busan (South Korea) the National Assembly Busan Library was opened, designed by Daain Group Architects & Engineers CO. Ltd. This is a parliamentary library open to the public that acts as an important resource of information and knowledge on a worldwide level, as well as a cultural and community center open to all. The internal space reinterprets the method of conservation of the annals of the past in a modern way. The design of the building, featuring a base on which the two right and left facades are placed in perfect symmetrical balance, is a reminder of the symbol of democracy in the studio’s vision.

In the context of this new project Luceplan has provided several products for the interior design of the spaces of the library. In the areas for consulting volumes and materials, Pétale is a suspension lamp designed by Odile Decq, which thanks to its sound-absorbing properties is able to reduce propagation of sound, generating exceptional acoustic comfort. The form is like a suspended petal, bringing a sense of lightness and spreading soft, enticing white light.

Also by Studio Odile Decq, in the reception area at the entrance we find Soleil noir, a suspension lamp with a slim, airy silhouette that emits light with discretion and elegance. Thanks to high technology, it is an object that defies the laws of static, with an advanced optical system that ensures the uniform spread of light on the diffuser.

In the smaller rooms and lounges the iconic Lady Costanza suspension and Costanza floor version stand out, designed by Paolo Rizzatto as examples of modern, timeless elegance, providing exceptional performance in terms of ambient lighting and visual comfort. Ethereal and essential, these lamps fit naturally into any type of context.
