The reconstruction project of a built house in the early 2000s in the Moscow region completely changed its appearance both outside and inside. The architects brought all the premises into geometric order, structuring them and determining the optimal proportions. A complex form of the plan with various niches and ledges was generalized with the help of the large terraces.
The architects paid attention to natural light in this project. They created a space on the second floor with a high ceiling and an upper line of windows. Thanks to this solution, sunlight fills the interior space during the day, making it taller and brighter.
The interior is designed in a minimalist style, where architectural and planning solutions come to the fore. The color scheme is a combination of light and dark. This laconic background made it possible to visually highlight the wooden details in the interior and emphasize the texture of the natural materials used in the project.
The lighting solution for the interior was designed considering the functional and aesthetic tasks. Built-in profile systems in black color during the day continue the theme of the geometry of straight architectural lines and color contrasts. Since the lighting sources are "recessed" in the profile, they are almost invisible during the day, and at night they perform their functional task. The straight lines of the built-in profile complement the recessed luminaires capable for rotation, maintaining the theme of minimalism and geometry.
There is a variability of lighting scenarios was organized thanks to the rotatable spotlights, table, and floor lamps in the project. Soft and dimmed local lighting in the interior creates an atmosphere of calmness, focusing attention on different areas of space. This lighting solutions makes the space multifaceted, and helps to avoid monotony and visual fatigue. At night, artificial lighting becomes a kind of intangible decoration of a minimalist interior.
The design solution in this project is based on contrasts of colors, shadows and light, modern solutions, and natural materials. Thanks to the artificial lighting, it became possible to emphasize the texture of natural wood and fabric, show the features of the finish and visually emphasize important areas in the interior, without drawing attention to the luminaries themselves.
