Two penthouses at Aucklands landmark Pacifica Tower take New Zealands luxury apartments to a whole new level. Rising from the streets and laneways of Britomat, the extraordinary new Pacifica Tower is Aucklands tallest residential building, built by high-end developer Heng Yi, with Plus Architecture responsible for the architecture and interior design.

The building has a unique appearance, with a facade that reflects the nearby harbour and blue sky, and a pattern that pays homage to the Maori pikorua pattern. The interior uses natural materials to create a tactile house with world-class facilities. The patterns on the facade also symbolize the path of life and human relationships. The building has village-like comforts, and Hengyis forward-looking vision includes an electric car charger.

The two penthouses, located on the 53rd and 54th floors, are the pinnacle of Pacifica, demonstrating the integrity and fluidity of the collaboration between Hengyi, Plus Architecture and Coco Republic. The design is guided by the Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi, which celebrates imperfections through natural materials and an authentic connection to the environment. The design of Apartment 5402 puts lightness at the forefront, incorporating functionality and sophisticated luxury across the board, with floor-to-ceiling Windows and low seating offering stunning views. The apartment is 355 square meters and combines function with ideal form, with four luxurious bedrooms and more. In contrast to Apartment 5402, Apartment 5303 is full of warmth and elegance using dark colors and clever spatial planning. The design of Coco Republic gives the apartment a special character.
