Snidanishna is a project that cherishes Ukrainian traditions in a modern interpretation. The client's brief was to create an authentic Ukrainian space that combines a café, a coffee shop, and a farm shop. We aimed to popularize Ukrainian culture and enhance Ukrainian flavor in interior design. 

Our team created a unique space, which includes a café, bakery, and souvenir shops of local goods, and aims to popularize Ukrainian culture and enhance Ukrainian flavor in interior design. By researching and analyzing the traditions of multiple different regions of Ukraine, the IK-architects team found interesting solutions for an environmentally aware interior that respects traditions.

Innovative solutions in design are shown in the use of ecological materials: ceramics, tiles, wood, and plaster with hemp in a modern combination. Today, the question of environmental sustainability is more than relevant, so the designers of IK-architects aimed to use as many ecological materials as possible. Environmental awareness and comfort indicators, such as the amount of daylight, air quality, and ergonomics, are all integral indicators of high-quality design. The creative solution offered by the designers was a change in the function of traditional Ukrainian elements. This way, the roofing material — shingles, turned into a spectacular decorative panel with an oblique cut. Decorative hemispheres, which decorated houses from the outside, became a pleasant pattern inside.
