Project Year:2023
Category:Bars
Buteco Fiado carries the characteristics of a good and original Brazilian Bar. It has a counter kitchen next to the door and allows the customer to be close to whoever is finishing the dish or preparing a drink. It's an invitation to have a good chat over the counter, as Chef Djalma Victor envisioned.
The same kitchen counter assists with curbside service, supports the beer cooler, receives and delivers dishes. For the composition of the facade, the project used the original material of the property: the solid bricks that make up the masonry. The existing coverings were removed, leaving the bricks exposed and creating a rich composition, in a vibrant counterpoint between inside and outside the bar.
Internally, the bar is organized by the finishing counter, on the right, and the circulation area, on the left, uses that divide the store in half. With this configuration, customers can sit at the counter, interact with the kitchen or rest their glasses on a small counter and talk standing there.
In this space there is no protagonist. Red tiled counter, painted brick wall, mosaic floor - and the rest of the context - complement each other, creating a vibrant space, full of information and balanced. In the last section of the ground floor, the mosaic floor rises up the wall and creates a continuous background.
To the left, and from the access door, the mural continues with elements that have to do with Fiado and help tell about the atmosphere of the bar, bringing subject matter to these walls.
On the second floor, there are more tables and, with them, the opportunity to enjoy the privileged view from the balcony. The ambiance is a little different from the lower floor, with a covered half wall, red fillet detail, red ceiling, and a large mosaic floor plan.
