Maison Sans Titre 2020春夏系列时装秀

Maison Sans Titre 2020春夏系列时装秀于2019年11月4日在北京举行，本项目为在秀场上搭建的一个临时装置。这次春夏系列的主题是“反乌托邦”。提到“反乌托邦”，总让人联想起一些或强大或脆弱的科幻产物，比如2001年Stanley Kubrik导演的电影《太空漫游》中的拥有感知意识的人工智能“哈尔9000”，或是士郎正宗的漫画《攻壳机动队》中描绘的未来主义城市的场景。

This project was an installation for a fashion show for the Chinese brand called “Maison Sans Titre”; Spring-summer collection in Beijing on 4th November 2019. The theme of the collection was Dystopia. This word reminds something powerful and fragile creation. Like sentient computer Hal 9000 from 2001 A space odyssey by Stanley Kubrik, or the futuristic cityscape from Ghost in the shell by Mamoru Oshii.

设计团队以此作为灵感，设计并建造了一个巨大的城市景观模型。该模型是由6万个小木片堆叠而成。木片相互之间没有固定，给人一种脆弱而岌岌可危的感觉，但其形成的空间却创造出一种强大的气场。法国工程师Benjamin Crouzier作为结构系统的技术支持，与设计团队一同构建了这个直径10米，高4米的庞大的装置。

Following these inspirations, we designed a huge model of a cityscape. The structural composition was made by 60,000 tiny wood pieces stacked without fixing. This strict single rule creates an atmosphere of powerfulness and ominousness while offering a look of delicacy and fragility. Collaborating with him, we managed to compose a huge scale of structure; 10m diameter circle large, 4m height.

装置的亮点在于，整个模型会在走秀结束时倒塌。第一块木片倒塌后，单一和重复的堆叠结构触发了多米诺骨牌效应，其余木片随之逐渐倒塌。

The highlight of the project was the collapsing of all the structure at the end of the show. Thanks to the single and repetitive stacking rule of construction, in a domino effect, after the first wood piece collapse the whole structure collapse continuously. The structural engineering system was based on the knowledge of the French engineer Benjamin Crouzier.

按照事先的计划，整个“城市”最终被夷为平地，但是现场有一些结构并没有如预期般倒下，而是颇具诗意地立在“城市废墟”中。推倒第一块木片的演员又即兴地踢了一下剩余的结构，使原计划得以继续进行。这种偶然状况与艺术行为的相遇，也与设计师的理念完美地契合。秀场最后的表演虽出乎意料，但却是这场秀最感染人的时刻。

The whole construction was expected to collapse in system, but finally, several elements poetically remained like ruins. The actress who was initially supposed to just push the start button improvised performance to break the remaining blocks. The encounter between chance and an artistic action was a beautiful demonstration of our idea of the concept. This final. although unexpected, was one of the most moving moments of this show.
