offices with natural light and efficient workspace in Shanghai, China.

STMicroelectronics is a global independent semiconductor company and a leader in the development and delivery of semiconductor solutions for a wide range of applications. In 2022, NOVAH and design firm JINHAN designed a new office for STMicroelectronics in Shanghai.

Enjoy technology, enjoy life, ST advocates the concept of technology leading intelligent life. Therefore, the overall color of ST’s office space is dominated by blue and white, with blue representing science, rational thinking, the future, etc.

In the location adjacent to the window, where sunlight is abundant, we choose to place a single sofa and a small negotiation table, where company visitors or employees can talk and rest.

Employees in technology companies often need more time for personal focus. In the workstation area, Cluster is paired with desk screens to form a workstation that supports personal focus. These screens can also be easily removed to facilitate conversations, temporary meetings between employees.

In the training room, a large amount of sound-absorbing materials are used on the wall. The training tables and chairs are all white, and the single color allows employees to focus more and learn without distractions.

Considering that employees have more storage needs, many storage spaces are designed in this office, including personal storage, departmental storage, and public storage. The Anyway cabinets are placed next to the workstations, which not only can store employees’ items, but also can play the role of partition and enhance the privacy of the workstations.

This is a typical office of a technology company. We hope to use NOVAH’s office products as a cornerstone to enable employees to better balance work and life, eliminate stress, and create a healthy and energetic work environment.
