Juso is a neighborhood of Umeda, a gathering place for locals.

The name of the town was given in 1925. The origin of the name is said to be the 13th crossing of the Yodo River from Tobita (today's Abeno), the starting point of Nishinari-gun, counted in the ancient jouri system. In 1878, a wooden bridge, Juso Bridge, was built at the site of Juso Watashi.
