“在天井种一片小森林,沿着迷幻天空往里走,于蜿蜒柔软的小河边坐下,轻轻地喝一杯茶。”这是我们设计 mistea 茶饮店时最初的构想。“小自然”的构想拆分开来,可以分为三个部分:“小森林”、“天空”、“小河”,分别对应的是“小森林”、“迷幻”和“流动”。
“Grow a small forest in the patio, walk along the psychedelic sky, sit down along meandering river and sip a cup of tea gently.”This is the first idea we came up with when designing the shop.The concept of “micro nature” can be divided into three parts: “forest”, “sky”, “river”, which correspond to “small forest”, “the psychedelic” and “flowing”.概览,overview of the tea shop
在第一次和业主去基地现场勘探的时候,就遇见了门前约占店铺面宽 1/4 的梧桐树,并且店和树之间的人行道宽度非常狭窄,以至于能同时通行两人已是捉襟见肘了。在这个又惊又喜的大树面前,我们就想,不如把这棵大树变成自家的树吧,然后把天井打开,种一片小森林去和门前的大树做朋友。接着,做流动的空间,把行人引入到店内,再做一片奇幻的天空,回应店的名字“mistea”。因为现场的限制条件,和店本身的特质,于是设计概念一开始便能够呈现出大体的骨架了。
When I first visited the site with the owner, we recognized this wide tree that about a quarter of the width of the store front, and it sits between the sidewalk and store.The width is so narrow that it is stretched to pass two people simultaneously.To deal with this tree of surprise and joy, we take it to be a part of our design. We extend the patio and plant a small forest to be friends with the big fellow at front. we introduced pedestrians by designing the free flowing space, and followed with a “psychedelic sky”ceiling that was inspired by the name of the store “mistea”. The concept was exposed to us because of the characteristic of this store and the site restrictions.

以下,便是以“小自然”的三部曲来分别叙述这个店设计的故事了。
The story of this store design is followed separately in the trilogy of “Micro Nature”.
正是因为门前非常遮挡的大树,所以“小森林”的想法才能自然地浮现出来。打开天井,作为和城市的连续,使得天井变成了联系城市和店铺的介质。作为共享空间的天井,希望能在这里发生更多的可能性。除此之外,为进一步延续街道和店铺,在天井“种”了一片“小森林”,与梧桐树形成互为一体的一片林,把街道空间拉进到天井中。“小森林”由七根充满绿色玻璃瓶碎片的透明亚克力柱组成,如同树干一般伫立在天地之间。夜晚,灯光透过不均匀堆积的玻璃碎片,沁出来层次变化丰富的绿光,在作为树干的同时也成为了树本身,营造出夏日夜晚饮茶的清爽感。亚克力柱直径分为 100 和 80mm 两种尺寸,自由地进行组合,呼应自然的随机性。
It is because of this big tree that blocks the front, so that the idea of “small forest” can naturally came to us. Extend the patio as a continuation of the sidewalk makes the patio a medium for connecting the urban life and the store. As a shared space, it inspires different possibilities to emerge. In addition, in order to further connect the street, a “small forest” was planted in the patio, having a conversation with the London plane, and invite the urban space into the store. The “Little Forest” is made of seven transparent acrylic columns filled with fragments of green glass bottles, standing between the floor and the ceiling just like a tree trunk. During the night, the light passes through unevenly stacked pieces of glass, glowing the green light with rich layers. It also becomes the tree itself, creating the refreshing feeling of having a tea during the summer night. The diameter of the acrylic column are two sizes of 100 and 80mm, which are freely placed to match the natural randomness.

On the ground of this “small forest”, there are eight holes filled with green glass bottle fragments. Like a tundra, it is looming on a glass with water vapor, become an interesting landscape of the “little forest”.

天井靠墙一侧,种植有真实的绿植,在充满想象的“小森林”空间中,点缀上生命的质感。

位于“小森林”的两侧,是打开异世界大门的镜墙,整面的镜子让“森林的树木”一下子变成原来的无数倍,更加显得生机勃勃。而两面镜墙互相平行反射,也让人分不清楚边界在何处。在放大空间于无数倍的同时,也给人带来无限的“迷”。
Located on both sides of the “small forest”, it is a mirror wall that opens the door to different world. The whole wall of mirror makes the “trees of the forest” suddenly merged in an infinite space extent. It suddenly let people lost in a real forrest, ones that cannot even tell where the boundary is. “迷幻”从“小森林”无限反射的镜墙中延伸而来。“迷幻”的起点,源于这家店的店名“mistea”的“mis-”一词。作为词根的“mis-”,本身是充满魔法,难辨真假的错置感。这种与众不同的“mis”,在空间上我们赋予了它不同于常态的曲线流动形态,打破完全分离的操作与客座的界面,让两者的关系更加柔和一些。在界面上,采用了能够有趣地体现“迷幻感”的炫彩膜,作为吊顶的主要材料,以褶皱的方式显现和反射不同的色彩变化,营造“小森林”的“迷幻的天空”。
“Psychedelic” came from the mirror wall of the “small forest” infinite reflection.The starting point of “psychedelic” stems from the prefix “mis-” of the store’s name “mistea”.As the prefix, this “mis-“, it is full of magic. it is difficult to distinguish reality and illusion.This distinctive “mis”, in space we give it a different form of curve flow. It connect the completely separated operation and guest area, and soften the relationship between these two. a colorful film that can embody the “psychedelic feeling” is used as the main part of the ceiling.It creates a “psychedelic sky” of “small forests” by revealing and reflecting different color variation in a wrinkled manner.膜作为吊顶的主要材料,a colorful film that can embody the“psychedelic feeling”is used as the main part of the ceiling

在灯光设计上,我们采用“去真存伪”的方式。筒灯照在炫彩膜上折射出奇特的色彩渐晕在白色的墙体上,若隐若现。小森林的灯打在绿色玻璃瓶碎片,发出幽幽的绿色。绿色的光和街道上的行人车辆零碎地反射在炫彩膜的“天空”上,无不反应出“迷幻”的境界。
In the design of lighting, we try to extend the same feeling of the ceiling. The downlight shines on the colorful film and reflects the strange color vegetating on the white wall. The lights of the small forest hit the fragments of the green glass bottle, giving off a faint green. The interior light mixed with the lights from the street, that are reflected on the colorful film. With the mixture of lights, all reflection brings people to the realm of “psychedelic”.

在“迷幻天空”的终点,我们来到一面曲墙前,一个充满炫彩膜的弯弯的门洞,正在呼唤着我们,它轻轻地呢喃,我们却听不大清楚。
At the end of the “Psychedelic Sky”, we came to a curved wall, a curved doorway filled with colorful films, calling us, it gently whispered but we barely hear it.

站在“迷幻之门”前,我们往回看,是刚才经过的“流动空间”。
Standing in front of the “Psychedelic Gate”, we look back and see the “flowing space” that has just passed.
“流动”是串联起整个空间的一条绳索,我们抓着它,即使是在迷幻森林的蜿蜒小河边行走,也能再走回到我们自己的世界,中间的过程就像是去走了一趟奇妙的冒险。我们因为门前的大树和狭小的人行道,于是想要化险为夷地把人引进来,就以流动的空间和界面作为基本的操作手法。最显而易见的是地面白绿两色流动的曲线,像是可以把人吸引进来的漩涡。印度大花绿的仿大理石瓷砖刻画出柔软的“河岸”,淌漾着河流的波浪,向着店内缓缓地流去。从家具上,主要分为从室内延伸到天井的吧台和座椅两部分。天井和店铺室内以玻璃作分隔,区分“白、灰、黑”三个层次的空间。
“Flowing space” is a rope that connects the entire space in series. Just like experiencing an adventure, even if we walk along the meandering river in the psychedelic forest, we can still get back to us if we hold the string.And because of the big trees in front of the door and the narrow sidewalks, we want to bring people into the space by designing the flowing space. The white-green curve flows on the ground catches visitors’ attention first, like a vortex that can attract people. Indian green marble tiles carve out curved “river banks”, swaying the waves of the river as it flows slowly toward the store. As for furniture, it is mainly divided into two parts: the bar and the seat that both extend from the interior to the patio. 吧台分为朝向墙一侧的主操作区和中岛吧台。中岛吧台之上设有外卖窗口,只需轻轻地移开玻璃,便能从物理空间上获得真实的连续,同时可以使室内相对稳定的空间和天井更加动态的空间互不干扰,相互独立。
吧台分为朝向墙一侧的主操作区和中岛吧台,There is a take-out window on the center island. The glass can be removed easily to achieve spatial continuity physically. The interior space that are relatively stable is independent from the patio space that are more dynamic.
另一侧的客座区,以一条木质曲线的座椅连续入口到店铺最内侧的曲墙,如同地铁上的长椅。以不同的方式与空间和功能不断地进行着变化。座椅的底部,以柔软的不锈钢编织网连续起整个座椅界面,使得空间不被打断地流动着。
On the other side of the guest area, a wooden curved seating continues extend from patio to inside of space, just like a bench on the subway. It constantly changes with the space and program. To keep the free flowing space uninterrupted, soft metal mesh is used at bottom of the seats as a continuous boundary.

在整个流动的空间中,流动以不同的形态和缓急在不同的地方呈现着。中段因靠近吧台而收窄,在人稍多的时候显得有些湍急,在其两端则是两个放大的空间。入口端的放大空间,是作为“小森林”的天井,空间被若干“树林”分割成有趣的游戏空间。末尾段是另外形态的放大空间。人们在这里安顿下来,变得非常的舒缓。这里提供两张圆桌,可供人对坐而饮,圆桌与顶上伸下来的两根绿色的灯柱相互呼应,形成日常茶饮空间的中心性。河流穿过整个小店,在不同的区段蜿蜒向前。
In the entire free flowing space, the flow is presented in different places with different forms. The middle section is narrowed as the proximity to the bar, and become a bit crowded when there gathered people. On both ends there are two enlarged spaces. The one at the entrance is a patio as a “small forest” , and is divided into interesting game spaces by couple “trees”. The end section is one with different form where people settle and become very relaxing. Two round tables are available for people to sit and drink. The round table and two green downlight that protrude from the ceiling echo each other, forming the center of tea space. The “river” runs through the entire store and moves forward into different sections.

在“迷幻天空”上,吊顶以连续折面的坡屋面、平屋面的方式,使得顶面的“天空”同样以连续流动的空间形态呈现。
For the “Psychedelic Sky”, the ceiling is in the form of continuous sloping and flat as a part of the whole free flowing concept.

渐渐渐渐地,我们从小自然中走出,回到日常的城市街道的怀抱,从街对面远远回望,看到醒目的店面。在明亮的绿色小森林的外面是一片门型的白色。六块渐变的白色穿孔铝板覆盖在扎满绿色玻璃瓶碎片的白色墙体上,隐隐地从白色中透出点点清澈的绿色。像是为一只个性十足的刺猬穿上了一件时髦的白色风衣。在防止手被碎玻璃扎到的同时,也增加了一层朦胧的“外衣”,弱化了原来尖锐的界面,变得柔软可人起来。
We walked out of the “little forrest” and return to urban streets. We looked back from the street and saw the eye-catching storefront.Outside the bright green forest is a door shaped white. Six white perforated aluminum panels overlaid on a white wall covered with mix of green glass, that are faintly glowing a refreshing green from the white. It protects hand from the glass, and at same time, adds a layer of sturdy “outerwear” to soften the sharp interface and make it becomes pleasant.

mistea 的招牌从顶上悬挂下来,好像浮在半空中一样。在夜空中闪耀着明亮的白光,似乎在向路过的行人打招呼。而在镜子中看到 mistea 的招牌时,正好因为反射把反面给正了过来,恰恰好地把“mis”的气质淋漓尽致地体现出来了。如此,便是这城市中的一片小自然,充满迷幻又柔软的茶店。在远远的地方,便能望见这一片充满迷幻色彩的小森林在向你招手。
The mistea’s sign hangs from the top as if it were floating in midair. Shining bright white light in the night sky seems to be tempting to pedestrians pass by. When I saw the signboard of mistea in the mirror, the text is mirrored. And for a moment i can’t tell the reality from the illusion. This reflects the concept of “mis”.In this way, it is a micro-nature in this city, a tea shop full of psychedelic/dreamlike feeling and softness. In a faraway place, you can see this piece full of dream colors, the little forest is waving to you.
