Hangzhou Hanlin Decoration Engineering completed a spacious, modern, and minimal design for the Jolly Pharmaceutical offices in Hangzhou, China.

Jolly Pharmaceutical’s office in Hangzhou is an irregular cylinder-shaped space, which is surrounded by natural scenery. In the irregular space, the branding and sense of order belonging to this company is constructed.

As you can see, a large number of glass elements are used inside and outside the entire space, which perfectly connects the landscape outside the building with the interior, So that people in this space can see the beautiful scenery no matter where they are. At the same time, the large number of glass elements ensure that the interior of the cylindrical space also has good lighting effects.

Another problem with cylindrical office spaces is: how to place the furniture in the right way? For example, The chairman’s office is an obviously irregular space, and the semi-enveloping sofa fits the curved lines of the space. The space and the furniture complement each other, where the furniture comes to life and the space enhances the overall aura because of the furniture.

Different from the traditional workstations, the desk screens and the partitions between the desks are all canceled here, making the space very spacious. Most of the employees in this office are sales staff, and the unobstructed workstations facilitate frequent and close conversations between employees. In addition to the open workstation area, there are small semi-private workstation areas in the office to provide an additional option for employees.

In this space, there is a small cylindrical meeting room with glass exterior walls, which makes full use of the space and facilitates small private meetings of staff, and this small meeting room divides the space and forms a perfect channel, separating the workstation area and executive area.

The most distinctive feature of this space is the unusual cylindrical shape, therefore, clever combinations were made on the furniture. We determine the furniture arrangement according to the curvature of the whole building, Whether it is an executive desk or a coffee table, we will find the most suitable position based on repeated surveys on the site.
