The Golden Mosque in Doha stands out as a remarkable religious and historical landmark. Constructed in the Ottoman architectural style, this mosque showcases exquisite craftsmanship with its outer walls adorned using golden mosaic tesserae. Today, people of all ages, including children and adults, visit this revered site to engage in prayer and reflection.

At SICIS, we embarked on a creative journey to capture the vibrant essence of Qatari culture through our mosaic artistry. Our goal was to blend a range of products and techniques to create a seamless expression that truly reflects the spirit of Qatar.

The Golden Mosque, true to its name, exudes a subtle radiance and boasts a unique texture on its exteriors, reminiscent of meticulously sanded surfaces. These facade-like exteriors beautifully emulate the untouched sands of the desert, showcasing a refined texture and a subtle glint that captivates the eye.

Within the mosque, we curated a diverse array of mosaic styles to adorn its sacred spaces. Some areas are enriched with pure gold mosaic, exuding a timeless elegance. In other sections, we incorporated platinum embellishments and carefully selected glass mosaics from our exclusive Colibrì collection. Each mosaic piece was thoughtfully crafted in our renowned SICIS Ravenna laboratories, drawing inspiration from ancient traditions that we have refined and perfected over the years.

The meticulous process involves creating the intricate decorative elements in Ravenna and then transporting them to the mosque in separate pieces. Once on-site, our skilled artisans assemble the mosaic pieces with utmost precision, bringing the design to life within the mosque's sacred walls.

We are proud to have contributed our expertise and passion to the creation of this remarkable masterpiece, reflecting the beauty of Qatar's culture and tradition through our exquisite mosaic craftsmanship.
