北外滩友邦大剧院室内设计，上海 / HPP Architects

公共文化作为城市复兴中不可或缺的成分，与城市经济、社会和环境都有着紧密联系，往往能对地区发展起到积极的推动作用。北外滩友邦大剧院由友邦人寿倾力打造，原业主为上实集团，HPP于2019年赢得其室内设计的国际竞赛，旨在以经典、通用、融合的设计手法创造以剧院为核心的复合式文化艺术空间，为地区引入新文化地标，带动周边商业与文化艺术跨界发展。

Public culture is now an essential component of urban revitalization, closely linked to the city’s economy, society, and environment. It plays a proactive role in promoting regional development. The AIA Grand Theater, whose former owner was SIIC, is passionately crafted by AIA. HPP won its interior design competition in 2019 and intends to create a composite cultural and artistic space with the theater as its core, using classic, universal, and inclusive design techniques. It will become a new cultural landmark in this area, driving the development between surrounding businesses and cultural arts.

北外滩友邦大剧院地处“东方百老汇”—上海虹口北外滩片区，紧邻黄浦江，与外滩和陆家嘴遥相呼应，地理位置得天独厚。作为一个新颖且符合当代需求的文化性场所，其融合了娱乐休闲、艺术分享、文创零售、展示活动和培训教育等功能。在提供高质量的戏剧演出之余连接城市，让观众可以更多享受在戏剧之外的悠闲时光。

AIA Grand Theater is located in the North Bund in Hongkou, Shanghai. It is a prime location near the Huangpu River, echoing the Bund and Lujiazui. As the birthplace of Shanghai culture, the North Bund was once referred as “Oriental Broadway”. As a novel and contemporary cultural venue, it combines functions such as entertainment, art sharing, creative retail, exhibition activities, and education. In addition to providing high-quality theatrical performances, this project provides the audience with leisure time to enjoy beyond the theater experience.

中西文化的融合与文化交流所激发的能量为北外滩地区带来了新的活力和机遇。设计初始，HPP结合地理特点及项目特征，提出以“闪耀通透的水晶珠宝盒”为设计概念，呼应北外滩“耀耀生辉的艺术明珠”。设计由外至内层层递进，使建筑如同一颗璀璨明珠放置在水晶盒子内，闪耀夺目。

The stimulation by exchanges and integration of Chinese and Western cultural have brought new vitality and opportunities to the North Bund. HPP proposes a design concept of the “Transparent Jewery Box”, complementing the “Shining Artistic Gem of the North Bund”. The design proceeds from outside to inside in successive layers, making the architecture shine brightly like a dazzling pearl placed inside a crystal box.

剧院分为地上3层和地下2层，主入口设在首层。前厅以“贝壳的成长印记”为题，3层通高的条纹状装饰面如同贝壳表面的成长肌理，灯光的融入营造出柔和的珠光效果。

The theater is divided into 3 floors above ground and 2 floors underground, with the main entrance set on the first floor. The foyer takes the theme of “Imprint of Growth of a Shell”, and the 3-story striped decoration looks like the texture of a shell’s surface, with lighting creating a soft pearlescent effect.

观众厅是剧院引人注目的核心空间。当观众步入其中时，就像逐渐揭开珠宝盒中的珍宝面目一般。天花和立面的设计灵感源自于珍宝的外壳，连续起伏的形式有助于声音的反射，让观众能够全身心地沉浸在戏剧的魅力中。这里可以同时容纳约1,700名观众。

The audience hall, as the core space of the theatre, is the highlight. As the audience enter, they feel like gradually unveiling a jewelry box. The design of the ceiling and facade is inspired by the casing of precious jewels, and the undulating forms contribute to sound reflection, allowing the audience to immerse themselves fully in the charm of the theater. It can accommodate approximately 1,700 viewers at the same time.

剧院二层的侧厅与周边的商业和办公区相连，设有人工与自助售票区以及轻食区。通高的空间设计，使人们可以从任何一层俯瞰大堂。

The hall on the second floor is connected to the surrounding commercial and office areas, equipped with both manned and self-service ticketing areas, and a light refreshment area. The vertical space design allows people to overlook the lobby from any level.

随着时代的发展，以文化为导向的城市复兴逐渐成为设计趋势，文化在城市复兴进程中的角色，也由最初“催化剂”和“引擎”逐渐向“主导者”和“持久动力”转变。作为城市功能的重要载体，北外滩友邦大剧院将以开放包容的姿态融入城市生活，成为北外滩独具特色的区域文化地标。

With the progression of time, the trend in design is gradually becoming city rejuvenation guided by culture. In this process, the role of culture is transitioning from an initial “catalyst” and “engine” to a “leader” and “sustaining drive”. As an essential vehicle of urban functions, AIA Grand Theater will integrate into city life with an open and inclusive attitude, becoming a unique regional cultural landmark within the North Bund.
