For this edition of CASACOR SP, focused on the event theme “From the present, now”, with the aim of meeting the diverse needs of modern everyday life, a multifunctional space that combines elegance and practicality was developed by Rosa May Sampaio. Entitled "Movement, Space, Time", the project innovates by integrating a dining room with an office, adaptable for different uses throughout the day. 

This versatile environment, measuring 52.25 m2, was designed to facilitate everything from a peaceful breakfast to a productive day of work, including family meals or meetings with friends. According to Rosa May, “At the same time as it is a place to work, it is a place to eat dinner. Because nowadays, the dining room is empty.”

The configuration of the space includes two square tables, which can be used separately or joined together, forming a large banquet space capable of seating up to 12 people. 

In addition to the functionality of the tables, the place has a library equipped not only with a selection of books, but also with all the necessary utensils for meals, such as: plates, glasses, cutlery and a wine cellar. “I also thought about leaving everything on hand here, for people to pick up. There's the toaster, the coffee. Everything is already there! I made breakfast at the moment, but that could be for another occasion”, highlights the architect.

This project represents an elegant and functional solution, which responds to the demands of a contemporary lifestyle, promoting the creation of bonds and affective memories, through its multiple functionalities.

The room has a ceiling lowered 10 cm below the existing beams, made of plaster with white painted paneling, and the ceiling lighting has some spotlights and built-in LED profiles. To give a special touch, 3 pendants from the Phenomena collection, designed by Estúdio DECHEM, in partnership with the FAS store. The two dining tables, the launch of Clami's Himalaya collection, measure 1.40 x1.40 m, with wooden bases and marble tops.

To compose it, ten 60s style chairs were chosen, designed by Thomaz Saavedra, covered by WG Estofados, with La Novita leather, in red, from the professional's collection, an armchair covered in fabric, and a white leather swivel chair. Charles Pollock.

The space has porcelain floors from Portinari and the walls are covered with exposed bricks from Palimanan. The back walls received shelves in freijó blond wood, forming a U of shelves, made by the Woodwork carpentry company, at the back of the room. There is also a side that divides the winter garden, closed with sliding glass doors with a white profile. To finish, Rosa May chose rugs, By Kamy, made of natural fibers: Aloe, Sunpatch, Hemp and Cactus. The blinds were made by hand, and the printed fabric curtains are in partnership with the Print's store. Another highlight is the work “Enquanto Conversava com Gustav 1”, a painting by Dudu Garcia, from Particular Galeria, as well as some indigenous engravings, the latter from the architect’s own collection.
