A linear rectangular south facing plot in an urban residential hub, fits in a three-bedroom house with the epicenter as the courtyard. The challenge was to maximize the filtered day light inside. The foyer, living space, staircase & dining area revolves around the courtyard on the east in ground floor.

The single flight staircase in the west side leads to the first floor with the family living, master bedroom and the third bedroom. The double height courtyard on the east lights the interior space all through the day. The challenge was to reduce the inside temprature on the south side. The front facade with the wave wall was designed based on the sun angle parameters and acts as the perfect shading element throughout the year.
