A sophisticated home designed for a family of three, seeking a classy nest where each space is imbued with a chic aesthetic that brings light and airiness without ever falling into banality.

The heart of the living area is dominated by a mirror that cleverly conceals the television, multiplying natural light and visually expanding the space. Four mirrors driven by minimalist metallic hinges, allows their smooth and discrete movement. The inverse three shaped chandelier, with its copper finish matching the kitchen faucets, bathes in light the living and dining area, creating an elegant focal point.

The kitchen, crafted from dark thermally-treated oak, stands out with its stark contrast to the marble and parquet flooring, highlighting the visual importance of the premium materials. Hidden within the kitchen columns, a secret door leads to the master area, which includes a study, laundry room, bathroom, and the master bedroom.

Hidden niches behind the wainscoting provide storage and personal archiving spaces, maintaining the original look of the walls. Before the sleeping area, one passes through a walk-in closet where the flooring and wainscoting speak the same material language with naturally different patterns and colors. From the closet, one enters a long, narrow bathroom, where the bathtub area and sanitary ware are separated by full-height glass panels. Here too, wood and marble blend harmoniously, enhancing each other's colors and textures.

In the second bathroom, marble takes center stage, offering a bright and relaxing environment.

The child's room, while distinct from the rest of the apartment, uses a harmonious color palette with a warm yellow, creating a playful yet cohesive environment with the overall aesthetic of the home.

Lighting plays a key role throughout the apartment, with a careful balance between natural and artificial light to enhance the high-quality finishes and diverse textures of the premium materials. The choice of materials, from thermally-treated oak to marble, underscores a harmonious contrast that adds character and depth to the spaces.

This residential project in Milan is an excellent example of how classic elegance can be reinterpreted in a modern key. Every detail, from the layout of the spaces to the choice of materials, is designed to create a refined and welcoming environment where the contrast of textures translates into sophisticated harmony, rhythmically enriched by various tactile and visual sensations.
