In designing bookshelves for a rural library, several factors have been meticulously balanced: motivational appeal, book preservation and storage, trendy aesthetics, all within the constraints of budget, practicality, technique, and production time.

The Ladybug shelves, initially featuring rectangular compartments, have gained popularity in the Vietnamese market due to their versatility and high book storage capacity. To enhance these shelves, four additional solid blocks in a semicircular shape were incorporated, creating a closed cabinet that protects books from weather and insects while also reducing the weight and roughness of the original design. The final touch, a red polka dot pattern, adds an eye-catching visual identity reminiscent of a ladybug.

These Ladybug shelves are part of a larger collection of interior items, including reading tables, computer tables, accessory tables, mobile shelves, fixed shelves, and lounging platforms. All pieces in the collection share a consistent structural system, semicircular cabinet design, and polka dot pattern, ensuring uniformity, ease of production, and straightforward arrangement.

The materials selected for the Ladybug shelves include an iron frame system, plastic partitions, and a plywood cabinet painted with durable red oil-based paint. This combination minimizes costs while ensuring long-term sustainability. The iron frame also reduces the overall weight of the cabinets, making them easy for children to move.
