PTT Global Chemical (PTT GC), which is part of the Petroleum Authority of Thailand, has just introduced the new office on press conference in 2024GC group is actually the leader in chemical business which has a strong campaign and commitment to mitigate the climate change crisis called “ GC Together to Net Zero”. Therefore the concept design must be vital to maintain the sustainable idea both in design concept and execution on construction phase. The idea of maximizing the use of natural daylight, daylighting and motion control systems as well as sustainable materials play an important part of the project. Some furniture made by recycling products produced by GC which is actually part of collaboration between GC and other partners are used everywhere throughout the space. Materials like silicone, adhesive, and paint are all zero toxic. This is to strengthen the company’s mission of making the earth a better place to live.

Conceptual design is one the most challenging for the design team. It is because the corporate branding.

“GC Spirit” which comprises six different strong primary colors that are hard to be blended together and the new space must represent all that.     The GC Spirit color idea was therefore introduced to different zones to not only differentiate zone departments but also create surprise when walking along the way throughout the space. The design team proposed one zone one color concept but rather than using primary colors literally designers use tone in tone idea instead. Again that ABW concept fully applied for this project space planning.

The work tables are non occupied and everywhere in the office can be a space to work, especially the front office that was totally transformed to a work cafe to show lifestyle and hospitality to the visitors rather than traditional way of space planning with counter reception.
