Pubang Design: Today, in the 163-hectare large ecological field of Haitang Bay, Sanya, an international-level urban ecological park is about to be unveiled. A bold imagination about the “national coast” officially opens the curtain. Haitang Bay is refreshing history once again with another posture.

海棠湾一期长约 4.43KM，红线范围面积 163 公顷，景观设计面积达 118 公顷。设计以建设生态优先，可持续发展的绿色河道为目标，修复河道生态系统和韧性体系，联通沿河与城市慢行系统，激活水岸并带动周边产业和经济的发展。最终打造生态的、人文的、活力的和未来的海棠城市风貌。

Sanya’s New Urban Card: Redefining Coastal City Ecological Parks

The first phase of Haitang Bay is about 4.43 KM long, with a red line area of 163 hectares and a landscape design area of 118 hectares. The design aims to construct an ecologically prioritized, sustainable green river channel, restore the river ecosystem and resilience system, connect the river with the urban slow traffic system, activate the waterfront, and drive the development of surrounding industries and economy. Ultimately, it will create an ecological, cultural, vibrant, and future-oriented Haitang city style.

海棠河项目中设计人地共生的自然友好空间，在雨林秘境中置入以自然材料为主的游乐空间，在漫长的岸线边置入海浪般波涛起伏的休憩廊架，在旷达的草地中置入像贝壳形状的小亭。这片汇聚草坪、森林、乐园、海岸、溪流的土地，人文空间与自然空间的结合，将会重新定义海滨公园新场景，重新引领公园生活方式的下一次迭代。

Diversified Coexistence of People and Nature

The Haitang River project is designed to create a natural-friendly space for the coexistence of people and nature. It places play spaces made of natural materials in the rainforest secret realm, places rest pavilions with undulating waves like the sea along the long coastline, and places small pavilions shaped like shells in the vast grassland. This land, which gathers lawns, forests, parks, coasts, and streams, combines cultural and natural spaces, and will redefine the new scene of the seaside park and lead the next iteration of park lifestyle.

像波浪一样富有动感的景观亭廊，河边同色系岩石与层层叠叠的台阶营造了这样一个弹性空间。一天中，这个地方看夕阳是最好不过的选择了。

The landscape pavilion, as dynamic as waves, and the river rocks of the same color with layered steps create such a flexible space. It is the best choice to watch the sunset here.

Ecological Base to strive

Provide a good environment for the habitat of animals and plants, a lagoon is formed in the shallow water area connected with the sea, and palm plants are planted on the shore. Large areas of open grasslands will grow economic crops such as rapeseed, sunflowers, field beans, and tamarisk, and will achieve free flower viewing throughout the year on the premise of good soil condition repair.

05 设计师说 Reflections

每一个场地都有其存在与自在、历史与文化的现实需求，我们在记录这个场所之前所有的生命历史记忆的同时，也促进着场域内所有生命之间的对话。让生命（不管是人还是动植物）得到尊重，是我们不断追寻的“理想国”。在海棠河身上，我们用生态骨架塑造公园血脉，给我们重新定义生命的机会，也让生命在这里肆意生长。

Every site has its own existence and self, historical and cultural practical needs. While recording the life history memory of this site before, we are also promoting the dialogue between all lives in the field. Let life (whether it is human or animals and plants) be respected, which is our continuous pursuit of the “ideal country”. On Haitang River, we use the ecological skeleton to shape the park’s blood vessels, giving us the opportunity to redefine life and let life grow here wantonly.
