ABOUT PROJECT

The apartment is located on the second floor of the Republic residential complex and was submitted by the developer with a basic layout for 2-room apartments.

The customer, a young modern woman with an artistic and design sense, immediately set her priorities: a bathroom with a free-standing bathtub, plenty of storage space, a full-fledged kitchen, and a separate bedroom.

To accommodate all functional units, every centimeter of the apartment was taken into consideration. All partitions were demolished and the loggia was joined.

Thus, we moved the utility area (washing and drying machine, boiler, cleaning supplies storage) to a separate unit located in the transit zone to maximize the bathroom’s freedom from unnecessary cabinets and functions and make it a separate relaxation area.

LIVING SPACE

The L-shaped kitchen is located in a niche and is an extension of the utility unit. Both units are made of the same materials, creating a harmonious and holistic look to the interior.  This solution allows hiding the “dirty zone” of the kitchen and avoiding visual noise.

The dining table was made to the maximum allowable size for the remaining space, as it also serves as a home office desk.

The bedroom turned out to be compact, with storage for personal belongings, as well as separate storage for small items in the area under the window.

Visually, the customer wanted a light interior with a little touch of color. We chose complex shades of orange as an accent, and used beige in the living rooms.

We turned the existing wall irregularities after dismantling the wall with the loggia into niches with lighting for the evening lighting scenario, and added volume to the space with the help of tall doors and integrated mirrors.

The apartment turned out to be integral, functional, and maximally satisfying the lifestyle of the customer.
