Located in Midriff Avenue Mall in the residential area of Mirdiff, Dubai, KLEÏ Spa & Hammam is an upscale spa for ladies designed by VSHD Design. Upon first entry, clients will be immediately encompassed into a world of earthy textures, lines and forms all made from natural materials and inspired by the same in an attempt to uplift and also ground clients, secluding them from the chaos and uncertainty of the outside world. VSHD Design, through its signature minimalist style centered around the strong use of natural materials and high end yet simple décor, worked to create a spa that acts like a cocoon.

内部空间的设计灵感来自天然材料，尤其是粘土的使用。源自大地的天然粘土材料已成为水疗中心设计、装饰和灵感的重要组成部分。它以各种形状和形式出现在整个结构中。在设计的早期构思阶段，VSHD就决定将水疗中心的设计理念建立在玩弄和塑造手中的一块粘土之上。无论形状如何，是无定形的、有机的还是曲线的，这个高档水疗中心的设计都是在不断地塑造和利用空间，就好像它的设计也是一项正在进行中的工作。

The design of the inside spaces has been inspired by the ethos of natural materials, particularly the use of clay. Derived from the earth, the natural material of clay has been incorporated as a key component in the spa’s design, décor and inspiration. It can be found throughout the structure in various shapes and forms. Since the early conception stages of design, VSHD Design decided to base the spa’s design on the idea of playing and molding a piece of clay in one’s hands. In whatever shape that comes, whether it is an amorphous, organic or curvaceous, the design of this upscale spa is about continuously molding and working with the space as if its design too is a work in progress.

In so doing, VSHD Design reflects on the idea of the perfection in imperfection and the inherent imperfections found in natural materials, particularly that of clay. The curvaceous shapes and forms that undulate through the spa’s hammam and massage rooms, entrance, corridors, changing and relaxing rooms, all involve the material of clay combined with the incorporation of other natural materials, like bamboo and glass.

KLEÏ Spa & Hammam enraptures, invites and subdues and this is done largely through the design of VSHD. The richness of the natural materials, emphasis on the use of clay, and undulating forms throughout the space is akin to a treatment itself. The design offers lessons in relaxation and tranquility. It is an example of how architecture and design meet the needs of a present-day desire for peace and stillness—especially as the madness and chaos of the outside world becomes louder.

水疗中心采用了其他天然材料，包括天花板和地板上的木制稻草地毯，顾客不仅可以在这里得到休息、放松和美容护理，还可以在日常生活和外部世界的持续混乱中感受到踏实、安全、平静和安宁。

The spa, which incorporates other natural materials, including wooden straw for the carpet on the ceiling and the floor, is a place where clients go not only for rest, relaxation and beautifying treatments, but also to feel grounded, secure, calm and serene amid the ongoing chaos of daily life and the outside world.
