ABOUT
Project of an individual house with a narrow but elongated area and a view of the vineyards. The latter is probably the best for a Transcarpathian resident. A short story of a young family and the task for design they asked was a compact one-storey house with a gabled roof, a terrace next to the house and a separate garage.
THE PROJECT
The principle of design laid down several main points - the active areas of the living room, kitchen and children's room oriented inside the site, to combine the processes of spending time with friends on the terrace and outdoor yard. We managed to arrange a canopy for temporary car storage, because the garage is quite far from the entrance to the house. And the volume of the pergola, garage and outbuilding were harmoniously combined.
The layout of the house includes two children's rooms, a common kitchen-living room, a bedroom with a separate bathroom and wardrobe, a guest room, a pantry and a boiler room. And although in the design process we slightly increased the number of rooms, the total area of the house is 180m2.
The philosophy we followed when designing is a one-storey chamber house with a view of the vineyards, shrouded in the warm southern sun, associatively took us to similar ones in Tuscany, and we wanted to recreate it as a leitmotif in this project. That is why we offered clean understandable forms, adding local materials and emphasizing on the most important thing - the processes between the house and the yard.
