ABOUT​​​​​​​

The building of the former church library has been empty for several years and gradually crumbled. According to the assignment, it was a task to organize commercial premises on the ground floor, and implement the function of housing on others. The building got a second chance at life.

THE PROJECT​​​​​​​

It was decided to keep part of the building in its original form and build, and the other, which was in a worse state, to dismantle and reconstruct. The quarter compacted and received a fragment of the active first floor.

The projected solutions allowed using the space of the building's attic, and organizing another floor with an operated mansard roof. The project provides for changes to the transport system on this fragment of the city and the elimination of chaotic parking. A more pedestrian-oriented environment has been developed.

There was no such approach to design in Uzhhorod before . The developer supported the idea of responsibly treating the historic building, and preserving its main fragment. The building is on the stage of the realization, and it is hoped, will be an example of a respectful attitude to historical buildings to other developers.

An important nuance is the selection of gardening in landscaping projects, because no less important is how the yard will look in winter and whether there will be puddles in the fall.

The project also provides a scheme of yard lighting, which takes into account the amount of light needed for each area and type of device, for example, the main area requires a large amount of light and thanks to floor lamps, we avoided the feeling of 'accumulation' of column lights, freeing space.
