The apartment is located in the quiet center of the city, in the house built in the 1930s. I wanted to create an interior that would preserve the spirit of the past without going into directhistorical citation. The main style-forming material is open brickwork of the 30son the walls, painted white. Oak block parquet on the floor is also chosen as a material typical of the time then the building was constructed.
The main accent of the interior and the most non-standard solution used here is a geometric pattern of stains of different shades of gray on the floor of the living room kitchen. This is a fairly simple technique, performed using masking tape. The result is reminiscent of a wooden marquetry mosaic.
Developing a color scheme for the interior, I wanted to add light and air to the apartment, so white and light gray were chosen as the main colors. Small black accents add graphics to the interior and only emphasize the overall “airiness” of the space.
One of the key features of the interior are custom made glazed doors . They are quite tall, the entire height of the room. They add air andadditionally emphasize one of the main advantages of the apartment -high ceilings.
