"The project aims to reinvent the Porta Genova rail yard in which prevails a dynamic hybrid regime given by the ex-industrial territory, today mainly dedicated to fashion and design. The thesis intends to reinforce morphologically the urban wound defined by the railway yard, avoiding any mimetic attempt at mending it. The project settles in a linear space with a strong topography, defined by public buildings called urban catalysts, due to their stratified and multi-scalar nature."
