The clothing store is inspired by Tokyo. The interior is a unique combination of the atmosphere of a large, modern city and the symbols of Japanese culture.

MOODBOARD

White has been chosen as the main color for the design. Pink was used as an accent color to reference cherry blossoms, sakuras and camellias, all of which are important symbols in Japanese culture. The main finishing materials used for the project are white paint, stainless steel panels and tiles. The use of tiles is inspired by the most common facade decoration style in Japan.

CONCEPT

All the rails in the showroom are made of stainless steel and resemble scaffolding. The rails have a built-in backlight, which creates an emphasis on the items. The fabric wrapped around the scaffolding represents the facade of the canvas.

Special attention in the interior design is paid to lighting. In Japanese culture, light has an important symbolic meaning. It represents purity, spirituality, transparency, and energy, as well as a new beginning. Light also symbolizes the illumination of the soul and enlightenment of the mind, which are important concepts in Japanese culture. Traditional customs and rituals, such as using candles on altars during celebrations, often involve the use of light.

A curved, suspended pink element with integrated lights serves as the main source of illumination and an artistic object that symbolizes the image of "wires". There are a lot of wires in Japan due to the high population density and orderly urban development. Because of the lack of space for underground cables, wires in Japan are placed on the surface of buildings and poles. This makes them easier to access for maintenance and repairs. Additionally, it allows for quick replacement of outdated or damaged wires without disrupting communication.

The glass box with built-in lighting can change color, creating a different atmosphere and mood in the interior. The art object and the changing lights symbolize diversity and creativity, reflecting the idea that everyone sees the world in a unique way.
