Hobby Room inspired by the animation Up

About the design: Carl and Ellie have been together most of their lives, up until the sad passing away of Ellie. They weren't even able to have a child, which was for sure devastating for them. After Ellie's passing, Carl was left with just the house they built together and some small trinkets. Carl was a balloons salesman at heart. I liked to imagine him, after their sad departure, sitting in his hobby room, making plans of how to fly the house to their dream vacation location, which they never got around to. During the movie, Carl is represented by a square shape, showing how rigid he is, meanwhile Ellie is represented by a circle shape, showing how fun and outgoing she is. In the beginning, Carl was portrayed rounder, with the intention of showing the impact Ellie has on him. After Ellie's death, Carl was squarer than ever. Even within their house, Ellie's objects were rounder than Carl's. Using the floor-plan of their house, I got acces to which room should be the hobby/desk room. During the modeling of this room I made use of Carl's square armchair and I decorated using a square mirror, as well as a round mirror sitting together on the same wall, showcasing that even if the couple is in different realms, they are still together in each others hearts.
