In 2022, our team was assigned to design Seraj haircut salon located in Mivida, New Cairo, which achieved great success. Hence, the owner requested an upgrade for this design in their new branch located in 90 street, New Cairo, Egypt.

The new branch was designied focusing on two main ideas. the first idea is to seprate in the masterplan the work area (messy zone) from the reception area (clean zone). the second is to reform the main element we previously made as their identity in the work area (The Cage).

The reformation of the cage was designed on Rhino software to work shape the main lines in the ellipsed form.  The main forms of the project are two main ellipses in each zone pulsing to generate the form of the zone. After that, each form was booleaned to whether welcome the visitors in the reception area, or contain the customers in the working area.

The reception area contains an outstanding light element overheading the counter to atrract potential customers passing by the project. Additionally, a cozy sofa was added to receive the customers, fostering the feeling of comfort.

The work area was lighted with an artifcial skylight ceiling to perfectly illuminate the work space for the barbers. Furthermore, the distripution of the hair cutting chairs was made in an integral mass to foster the idea of socializing among the customers.
