The Story Behind This Project

This project challenged us to rethink the standards we hold dear. We often resist drawing from the past, viewing it as a nostalgic approach to the present. However, in our unpredictable and rapidly changing world, this project made us realize that history offers valuable lessons, particularly about human nature.

Reflecting on the past shouldn't just be about replicating forms and shapes. Instead, it should be about understanding the enduring human experience. This project prompted us to explore how historical references can connect to an uncertain future.

Initially, we doubted whether this project aligned with our vision for the future. Creating historical architecture that evokes a sense of place seemed outside our usual thinking. Yet, embracing this challenge taught us new perspectives.

We learn from history through stories and monuments, experiencing the feelings they evoke in our collective memory. In this project, we aimed to tell a story with shapes, reflecting emotions preserved by our shared memory. This approach helped us articulate history in a meaningful way, linking the past with the future.
