Main PlazaGathering area
No longer a simple square, therefore, but a set of squares, places and atmospheres that are interconnected and capable of triggering relationships on multiple levels. Once the node buildings have been identified, a public space has been associated with each of them. For each building, a square and an area of influence. The procedure used does not aim to impose a predefined and static form on the space but to establish a series of rules of the game, of fields of force which, ultimately, allow to satisfy the specificities of the concrete project. Once the law is established, the possible configurations become infinite. The limitation is given by the context, by the conditions to the limits which however become an added wealth. The design is defined by a pure geometric shape which, when suitably multiplied and dilated, defines a series of thematic areas that can freely expand or contract according to the needs of the users. The final result appears to be unitary, however, without constraints or clear-cut separations. Limits can be overcome. In this way an open structure is proposed which, establishing a system of typical local behavior, intervenes in dialogue with the context, preferring dispersion to compactness, that which is widespread over what is limited; ultimately, a de-hierarchized architectural and social structure
