The "Barberry" table consists of a steplike folded metal sheet tabletop and a chrome-plated support tube. The sheet is seperated into four equal parts. Each at a different height rising from the bottom to the part like a spiral staircase. Each step is a bit lower as the prior one to make the overall appearance more eclectic and to give each level its own characteristic.

The metal support tube here takes inspiration from classic cantilever chairs making the design not only very lightweight but also kind of exciting. The sheet is kind of levitating at some points which is kind of unusual in coffee tables. So to adapt this feature from classic cantilever chairs you create kind of a hybrid piece of furniture.

I wanted to give the metal sheet a very bright finish so I decided to use pink both to have a very fresh colour and to follow the current Barbie trend.
