The main design idea is the artfully shaped wooden tabletop element which somehow reminded me of a ping-pong paddle. I actually wanted the metal stand to be made out of wood, but I guess metal is better regarding the manufacturing effort. In addition the change of materials highlights the tabletop even more.The circular stand meets the outline of the tabletop to create harmonic geometries. You are also able to carry the table easily as the upper part where wood and metal meet can be used as transport handle.
